Girne American University, also known as The American University, was established in 1985 in the northern part of Cyprus, Girne. The university started expanding its partnerships, programs, and campuses abroad, seeking globalization. After years of university success and foundation, GAU campuses have reached the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Moldova, and Istanbul.
